Description

The Master Plus Scholarship is designed to support students from all disciplines who plan to start a full-time, on-campus Master’s degree in Germany. It is intended for students who have successfully completed their Bachelor’s degree and are ready to begin the next phase of their education.

This program provides two forms of support:

  1. Financial Support: Income-based funding to help students focus fully on their studies without financial stress.

  2. Personal Development Opportunities: Scholarship holders gain access to non-material benefits, such as workshops, regional group meetings across Germany, and annual gatherings. These events encourage networking with fellow students, alumni, and participants of other Claussen-Simon Foundation programs.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for this scholarship, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Study Plan: You will begin a full-time, in-person Master’s program at a German university in the upcoming semester. Part-time, dual, or distance learning programs do not qualify.

  • Academic Timing: Your Master’s degree must not have started at the time of application.

  • Age Limit: Applicants must be under 35 years old.

  • Academic Excellence: You should have completed your Bachelor’s degree with a grade of 1.7 or better. Alternatively, you should rank in the top 10% of graduates in your field, with official proof from your university’s examination office.

  • Language Proficiency: Applicants must demonstrate strong German language skills (B1 level or higher) through recognized certificates like DSH, TestDaf, or others.

  • Additional Attributes: Extracurricular activities or social engagement are highly valued.
