Description:
The Max Planck School of Cognition (MPSCog) and the Berlin School of Mind and Brain (M&B) at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin are offering two prestigious four-year doctoral scholarships. These opportunities are supported by the Graduate School Scholarship Programme 2025 (GSSP) of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). Successful candidates will work on cutting-edge research projects in collaboration with these esteemed institutions.
Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must hold non-German citizenship.

Candidates should possess an excellent academic record.

Only those who graduated within six years before nomination (May 2025) are eligible. This means graduation should not be earlier than March 2024.

Applicants must not have lived in Germany for more than 15 months before May 2025.
• Exception: Those with a German Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree followed by a Master’s degree abroad may apply if they have spent over 15 months outside Germany. -
Candidates must complete their Master’s degree or equivalent by October 2025.

Previous completion of a PhD or equivalent doctoral degree disqualifies applicants.
