Description

The UdeM Exemption Scholarship Program provides significant tuition fee reductions for international students studying at the Université de Montréal. Since Fall 2020, eligible international students have been able to receive exemptions from the higher tuition fees typically charged to non-Canadian students.

The scholarship continues to be available for Winter 2026, Summer 2026, Fall 2026, and Winter 2027 terms.

The Université de Montréal—founded over 135 years ago—has grown into one of Canada’s leading institutions, serving a diverse community and offering more than 600 study programs. It is the second-largest university in Canada, ranked #4 nationally and 73rd globally, and provides a wide range of undergraduate and graduate scholarships for international students.

Eligibility

To qualify for the UdeM Exemption Scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be an international student.

  • Hold a valid study permit and not be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.

  • Be enrolled full-time in an eligible study program at the Université de Montréal for the entire duration of their studies.
