Description
The P.E.O. International Peace Scholarship (IPS), established in 1949, provides financial support to international women pursuing graduate studies in the United States or Canada. The program aims to promote global peace through education, empowering scholars to return home and use their advanced degrees to create positive change in their communities. The maximum scholarship award is $12,500.
Eligibility
A woman is eligible for the International Peace Scholarship if she:

Is a citizen of a country outside the United States and Canada and is seeking an advanced degree at an accredited college or university in the U.S. or Canada;

Plans to return to her home country after completing her studies to make a positive impact and contribute to global peace;

Has at least one full academic year of coursework remaining and will be enrolled in residence in the U.S. or Canada for the entire academic year; or
-
Is an international student attending Cottey College.
Additional requirements:

Doctoral students who have completed all coursework and are working solely on their dissertations are not eligible as first-time applicants.

Applicants who are citizens or permanent residents of the U.S. or Canada are not eligible. (Students with tax residency only may apply.)

Scholarships are not awarded for online programs, independent research, internships, or practical training unless combined with formal coursework.
