Description
The Western Australian Premier’s University Scholarship awards successful recipients $50,000 to support course fees and additional university expenses. After completing the WA Premier’s Scholarship, students will also receive a 100% ECU tuition fee scholarship for the remainder of their research candidature.
This prestigious program aims to attract top-performing international students to Western Australia’s five universities. Each year, two international students per university will be selected, for a total of 10 scholarships annually. Applicants must apply directly to one of the participating universities in Western Australia.
Eligibility
To be eligible, applicants must:

Have received an offer of admission as a new, onshore international student enrolled full-time in a postgraduate research program (minimum of two years), commencing in Semester 1, 2026, or in 2026 for PhD starters.

Meet all requirements for obtaining an Australian international student visa, arrive in Western Australia, and begin onshore studies in Semester 1, 2026.

Be commencing studies directly into a postgraduate research degree, not through a packaged, foundation, or English language pathway.

Be willing to decline any other scholarships previously awarded by the University, State, or Commonwealth if selected.

Apply as an international fee-paying student.

Be a citizen of one of the following countries:
