The Melbourne Chancellor’s Scholarship is a prestigious opportunity for exceptional students from Australia and around the world. Designed for high-achieving undergraduate applicants, the scholarship supports students in embracing academic challenges and making the most of their studies at the University of Melbourne.
As a Chancellor’s Scholar, you will receive a living allowance and/or fee sponsorship, along with a guaranteed place in a professional graduate degree. You’ll also be awarded a Melbourne Global Scholars Award, providing financial support for international study opportunities.
Eligible students who apply for undergraduate study at the University of Melbourne through VTAC are automatically considered—no separate scholarship application is required.
Eligibility
To be considered, applicants must meet one of the following citizenship and study pathways:

Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, or a New Zealand citizen, and have completed Australian Year 12 or the International Baccalaureate (IB) in Australia; or

Be an Australian citizen and have completed Australian Year 12 or the IB outside Australia; or
-
Be an international student who has completed Australian Year 12 or the IB in Australia.
Additional requirements:

Must not have completed subjects as part of a tertiary course (except approved extension program subjects).

Must apply for a University of Melbourne undergraduate course through VTAC for commencement in the year immediately after completing Year 12 or IB.

Must meet the entry requirements for the nominated course and satisfy one of the following academic criteria:

Achieve an ATAR of at least 99.90; or
-
For Bachelor of Music applicants: achieve an ATAR of at least 99.85 and an A+ audition score; or
-
Be of Indigenous Australian descent and achieve an ATAR of at least 90.
