Description
The International Excellence Scholarship 2026 aims to attract high-achieving students to the University of Newcastle. This scholarship recognizes applicants with strong academic performance and provides ongoing support to encourage continued excellence throughout their studies. Scholarships are awarded to students who receive an offer and begin an eligible program at the University in 2026 or later.
This version of the scholarship applies exclusively to new international students who commence their studies from 2026 onward.
Eligibility
To be eligible, applicants must:

Be an international, full fee-paying student.

Be commencing an eligible CRICOS-registered undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program at the University (refer to the Terms and Conditions for the full list of eligible programs).

Not already be receiving another University of Newcastle scholarship, unless special approval has been granted.

Demonstrate the ability to meet all financial requirements for full fee-paying international students as required by the Australian Government, and provide evidence if requested.
